What are the major strengths and weaknesses of the instructor?

1.   NO comments
2.   Strengths:-Definitely understands material well.-Excellent organization with course web page.-Fair in all respects, polite, friendly.Weaknesses:-Sometimes obscures the focus by digressing.
3.   Material for class was well prepared.

What aspects of this course were most beneficial to you?

1.   NO comments
2.   Parameter passing, parse trees, ML, Perl.
3.   discussion on grammers

What do you suggest to improve this course?

1.   No perl
2.   Course should get a bit deeper on key topics. One of the reasons for studying programming languages is to be able to design better languages. It would be nice if assignments were designed more towards actually writing a simple language or interpreter. That would have been great.
3.   As a DL student portions of the white board were not visible, especially when the text was written at the top. Also, at times, the synchronization of the lecture and screen were off. Once pausing and restarting - it was fixed. This needs to be fixed to affect greater satisfaction with the technology

Comment on the grading procedures and exams

1.   NO comments
2.   Completely fair exams, completely fair grading.
3.   Feedback on homework grades needs to be more timely.

Other comments?

2.   This course should get deeper. It is a graduate course, but undergrads coud easily take it. It should be structured more like a graduate course. Get deeper into the really important reasons to learn this material in the first place.
3.   I would definitely take this instructor again
